Northern Franna Cranes NT provides mobile crane hire in Darwin, Palmerston as well as the rural and remote areas of the Northern Territory. Our 15-tonne Franna mobile crane is available for short or long term hire. This “pick-and-carry” crane is ready to go if you want to move machinery or lift a shipping container.
We offer wet hire or dry hire, and can source larger capacity cranes when necessary. We can also help with dismantling and steel erection and have other equipment available for hire - such as a block cage for construction purposes.

Convenient Service
The Franna at Northern Franna Cranes NT is effective across multiple applications. It can lift heavy loads and operate in tight spaces. It is also capable of completing lifts at multiple job sites in a single day – perfect if you need to move heavy machinery and equipment in confined spaces, such as factories and warehouses. Our Terex pick-and-carry machine has a 15-tonne maximum lifting capacity and is known as a taxi crane because we can pick up a load and carry it to its destination within a small radius.
Our Australian-designed and built crane can travel on public roads and requires minimal set-up, when compared with similar mobile cranes and truck cranes, because it doesn’t require outriggers or stabilising legs.
Our mobile crane is assessed annually by Crane Safe, a voluntary program augmenting existing safety standards, and our staff undergoes machine-specific, impartial peer assessment through CrewSafe.
Our mobile crane is perfect for moving heavy equipment in confined spaces. It is cost efficient as the mobile unit reduces time wastage and transportation costs.
As well as mobile crane hire, we also have lifting equipment available for hire including a block cage to safely convey a pallet of bricks or blocks. We can also organise other items by request.
